Pressure Of Expanding Gas Volume

A gas with a volume of 2 L is allowed to expand to a volume of 10 L.
What happens to the pressure in the container if the temperature remains constant?

Boyle's Law

volume ∝ 1/pressure

volume is inversely proportional to pressure...

in other words, one goes up, the other one goes down

in this case, the gas expands from 2 L to 10 L = volume goes up

therefore, the pressure has to go down
