Boyle's Law - Compression Of Volume

If a gas is compressed from 8 L to 2 L and the temperature remains constant, what happens to the pressure?

Boyle's Law

volume ∝ 1/pressure

volume is inversely proportional to pressure...

in other words, one goes up, the other one goes down

in this case, the gas is compressed from 8 L to 2 L = volume goes down

therefore, the pressure has to go up
